Our Wedding

We kindly request that you RSVP no later than Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 - no joke! You can RSVP by visiting the <a href="https://www.tessmanwedding.com/us/tyler-tessman-and-grace-christensen-may-2026/rsvp" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">link</a> or by sending in the RSVP card that was enclosed in your invitation. If we do not receive your RSVP by April 1st, we will miss you! Final numbers are needed for our caterer and seating chart.

Cocktail hour begins at 5:00 PM. Kindly arrive at or after this time, as the couple’s private ceremony will conclude just before. Reception to follow at 6:00 PM.

We'd love to see our family and friends have fun and get dressed up with us for our big day! We encourage spring colors, floral prints, or your “Sunday’s Best.” The wedding party will be in light blue dresses and navy tuxes. Please refrain from denim.

We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

The cocktail hour is a time for Grace and Tyler to mingle with guests (you!) before dinner and dancing. We have arranged for our photographer to capture a photo for you and your loved ones as a thank you during this hour as well! We’ll send them to you afterwards. Cocktail hour will take place under the covered patio of the venue.

The families of the couple will cover the cost of certain drinks until the tab runs out. The venue accepts cash, credit cards, or ApplePay.

You may leave your car parked at the venue overnight. It will be safe! We just ask you pick it up by 12 PM the following day.&nbsp;

Q + A

We are high school sweethearts since 2017. Audubon Wheelers to Iowa State Cyclones, we’ve established ourselves in our trailer home in Ames along with our kitties. We are avid Cyclone football fans, appreciate Iowa agriculture, and love working on home improvement projects together.

Our Story

Our mischievous kitty, Phoebe! We got her off of Facebook marketplace in October 2022 and have been enjoying her sassy meows since!

Our little Frankie! Grace's Aunt Ann found her outside her home covered in fleas and malnourished. She's shy, but she is the sweetest and daintiest little cutie!

Our first kitty, precious Peaches. We lost her in June 2024 and miss her so much. We wish she could be here to celebrate with us.

Grace met Emily after they lost their races for district FFA office in 2017. They bonded through their tears and have been friends since!

Keaton and Grace have been best friends since pre-kindergarten in 2005! Not often to have 10+ year friendships :)

Taylor and Grace met sophomore year of ISU through Emily and were in many of the same animal science classes. They enjoy doing yoga and Chick-fil-a runs together!

Haley and Grace became great friends a few years ago through Haley's husband, Jake! They love enjoying wine and tiramisu together.

Tyler and Connor met at an Ag Business Club meeting their first year at Iowa State. They bonded over their commonality of trailer park living and the rest is history!

We will have a shuttle to Eagles Ledge in time for our cocktail hour and back to the Sleep Inn &amp; Suites Ames at the end of the night so you can have a good time and still get home safely. Pick-up and drop-off times yet to come, stay tuned!
